Mike grew up in Perth, Australia where he started fly fishing the salt 20 years ago. In 2004, Mike moved to Toronto and discovered his passion for chasing steelhead. Wanting to fish more interesting patterns, he started tying five years ago. Self taught Mike enjoys tying traditional and contemporary steelhead and salmon patterns, in particular Spey and Dee type flies.
Mike is quickly gaining notoriety in the fly tying community and has also been featured in FlyLife magazine (Australia).
