Discussing and Tying Contemporary Steelhead Patterns

September 4, 2016 @ 10:30 am - 1:30 pm

We have come a long way in the past ten years when it comes to fly fishing for Great Lakes steelhead in terms of fly patterns.  For those taking up the traditional swing, be it with single or two handed rods, mainstream flies such as the venerable egg sucking leech are taking second fiddle to more innovative patterns.

This tying demonstration, just in time for the fall season, is guaranteed to change your perspective on patterns for the swingers as Rob Heal will explain the characteristics of several innovative materials and tying styles that are sure to put more fish on the bank.

This is complementary demonstration.
